Motor Trend channel has a series of programs "Dream Cars, How its Made" each lasting about 20 minutes. They are filmed in the manufacturing facilities and you see real people ( and robots) assembling cars. The one on the 4C includes building up the carbon tub, some engine machining and building, attaching the sub frames to the tub and vehicle testing. It is pretty cool. Motor Trend is channel 246 on Dish Network.

I saw this a couple years ago. Very impressive. Most of the body parts are made of carbon fiber baked in that autoclave. I really didn't know how carbon fiber body parts were made. It also makes me wonder what a body shop will do when someone needs their fender or hood repaired from damage. I know fiberglass shops can repair body parts, but this stuff takes a factory. Maybe strips of carbon fiber can be had, but the baking at high temp?

Well it will be the same for Lambos and some Ferraris as well. These days several vehicles are using that. The 4C owner may not have the purse of the Lambo owner is all. Drive it carefully.
