Got finally rid of that hideous steering wheel.
Purchased a fine kit from Dutch small engineering company, Breen engineering , gearchange- flips work perfect and looks great, and feels what it should have been from the start 🤪
Put a small wheelcap in the center.
Tilted the driversseat a bit more by removing the bolts in the middle, now I enjoy driving this piece of kit 🙂

Seems like I'm one of the few owners that actually likes the original steering wheel :)

Having said that, it is a lot easier to turn now I have had power steering fitted, so I'm not gripping it as hard. It transforms the car.

I agree.

The current steering wheel is very nice.

Let's not forget the airbag!
Oh that!

Hmm, would fitting a Breen Engineering wheel even be legal in the US? Or in the EU? Here, the DOT wouldn't come after you, but if you were in an accident, would your insurance carrier pay your medical expenses if they discovered the airbag had been removed?
