Well I finally got the GTV running after replacing all the fluids, rebuilding the carby's, replacing the fuel pump and actually cleaning the car.

It has been sitting for 10 years, more or less, and so...

Once I worked out how to seal the little block pump threads I started the engine and what should happen? A stuck exhaust valve which is now bent...

I have the head off but cannot find a replacement valve. I will contact the guys who rebuilt the engine 12 years ago but where do I go for a 44mm exhaust valve?

Also what does this mean for my engine? It has the most dome topped pistons I have ever seen.

Thanks again in advance

44mm valves

That what I thought. The car ran ok. Seemed a bit underpowered when I got it back from the builder but I figured it just needed to be run in. Then my wife drove it for a bit and then we "retired" it as our family grew.
Will take it back to the guy. He's been in business here for 20 years. Will see what he says. I'm presuming that I can't just swap the valves from one side to other without redoing the shims and maybe the seats.
