Sometimes, prices scare me: Sold on eBay today (item 110743003933) -- 3 switches + 1 cigarette lighter = USD 260.

Despite lousy pictures, two bidders must have really wanted it.

I'd say it's all about the quality of the knobs!

They degrade so badly, and (having investigated it) remanufacturing costs are far too high to be practical at the moment (especially as the black parts vary in size. A good set has to be worth a bit, but I agree this seems steep.

The only problem was the quality of the pictures was so bad that one couldn't assess the quality of the knobs. I have a hunch the price might have been driven by the cigarette lighter insert, which often seem to get stolen out of parked cars -- and correct ones are very hard to find.
