Hi everyone,

is here anyone who has a detailed photo of that "spring" behind the bonnet lid?

In particular I need a photo of the area where the spring is attached to the body, I don't even know if it's a single bar with two ends or two separate bars.

Thank you in advance.

Francesco, these are torsion springs (2 of them) that run along the ledge and are hooked into the body at opposite sides, and held in place by clamp-down brackets. The picture below shows the one near the right front of the car.

Thank you Ruedi. So, basically, does one edge ends into the bonnet and one edge into the body, just near the clamp I see in photo?

Or is the clamp the only way to hold the bar down?

As I recall, the body-side of the spring hooks into the body -- and the clamp prevents that spring from slipping out of the hole. while also being a guide for the other spring going to the hood (bonnet). Again, these are torsion springs whose spring force is derived from twisting (rotating) the section that goes across the front when the hood is closed.
