Problem solved!
The serpentine idler pivot sits on two needle bearings. These age, sieze, wear out and allow play.
Have located two new ones from a local supplier and going to fit them shortly.
Bearing details:
SKF HK1414 RS
Needle bearing, 14mm internal diameter, 20mm external diameter, 14mm long/deep.
Two needed.
Pics attached. Hopefully these will just press out without tooooo much problem. Hopefully.
