Hi everyone!
Thanks to those that could make it for attending our get together for pizza at great fun time at GR Auto Gallery Lunch meeting! (which apparently is now closed up?)
I'd like to provide a list of 2011 events for further consideration, some are WMARO *events and others are >events just so you are aware what other Alfa/car & Lancia Thema Ferrari enthusiasts' events are happening:
> May 21st, SAT, DETROIT AROC Grattan Drivers Day, exact same format as per our original. Fees range from $120 to $175 per driver, your guess is as good as mine. * JUNE 4th, SAT, Annual First Day of Summer Mtg & Antipasta at Good Friends Garage, Host Dom Frederico & Mark Battaglia -contact me for info; closed invitation
* JULY 16, 17th SAT & SUN National AROC Meet (I'm going!) Lexington KY , Crowne Plaza-Campbell House, call 800-227-6963 .(I'll be at the Hilton)
*> AUGUST 6th, SAT, Red Barns Spectacular Show & Swap Meet Gilmore Museum, FIAT-LANCIA Unlimited (FLU)Club also attending. Gilmore complex is located at 6865 Hickory Rd, Hickory Corners, MI, 269-671-5089 .
* AUGUST 27th, SAT, 7th Annual METRO CRUISE, WMARO together with FIAT-Lancia Unlimited, at Pietro's front parking lot, 2780 Birchcrest SE, actually 1 block west of Breton Rd, north side of 28th Street, 616-452-3228
* OCTOBER 8th, SAT, WMARO Scenic Drive, Wine Tour of St. Julian's 91 year old facility, and Lunch...tour map details to follow.
Additional event NEWS:
Meadow Brook Hall Concours is no more. It has morphed into "CONCOURS d'ELEGANCE of AMERICA at ST. JOHN'S".
July 31st Sunday the Concours will be held in new form/nuova forma at St. John's Inn, 44045 Five Mile Road, Plymouth, MI. (Phone 734-414-0600) The Inn is like a cross between a Spanish Mission and a huge brick hospital; FYI they are having an Easter Brunch for $40 pp.... The new CDEOAASJ's organization has also added a convenient track day for concours exhibitors to be held at Michigan International Speedway on Friday, July 29th. No info in press release as to driver fees or as to spectators allowed.
