Hi, Does anyone know if the 2 Liter GTV instrument lens, of the speedo/tach cluster, can be easily accessed and removed for cleaning or replacement?

Hi Ken,
I just remove the entire cluster from the housing (6? small screws), then you can get at the back of the plastic lenses. or are you trying to more than that?
Ken, you can take the cluster down to removing the plastic lens's if so desired. I replaced the worn and scratched plastic with glass years ago, cleaned contacts, replaced a few tiny bulbs, and cleaned hard to reach spots with Q-tips, etc, basically made the cluster 'good as gnu" ...

Davo-

What kind of glass did you use? How did you cut it round? I took mine apart several years ago and buffed the plastic, but glass would be nicer.

thanks,
RockieMosley... A while ago.. but I took the old plastic to a glass shop... and also measured the diameter... the glass shop knocked it out, perfect circle, and the thickness.. I can't remember but I know it was close... I might have used some clear silicone to help secure it back into the cluster. But its worked great ever since. Clean glass with windex and it's still purty after 17 years.. good luck with yours..
Davo.

I did the same for outside mirror on one of the cars.. and even for my Citroen... they were able to cut a odd oval/round/square outside mirror for me.
