I'm just trying to decide who to go with if it makes any difference. I've found Beck, Pell Power and Clevlite so far but don't know what's good or bad.

I've used Clevite numerous times in the past with excellent results.
Can't comment on the other two brands as I've no personal experience with them.

Maybe I'm naive, but for a normal-use road engine not subject to extreme stress, I'd think any of the common brands from Centerline, IAP, etc. would be OK as long as they mic out OK. Clevite is the best, for sure.
I've used Centerline bearings a fair amount and never had any problems. The Alfa-OEM bearings I got from Jon Norman looked better quality (smooth machined finish), but didn't work any differently. I didn't compare for 200,000 miles though.

I think what I was concerned about was comparisons like tie rod ends. Some are really poorly made with cheap materials, others are the preferred brand, etc. If they are all pretty much equal, then I'll just look for the best deal. They are mostly in the $50 range for a main set, and if anyone knows of any deals out there, let me know.
