Gentleman. I cannot seem to find the minimum thickness a 2 litre head can be milled too! It is a 74! I just dropped one off to get checked for flat, and would like to have the reference for the machine shop! Anyone have that handy?
Also, question 2! Will an 84 head, be much of a problem going on a 73 block? Using it with webers!

Thanks! S

Head thickness

It is common to machine as much as .060 (1.5mm) from the head surface.

Commonly warped heads only take .010 to .015 to clean up.

I would not bother with cutting less than .040 which will increase your compression ratio about .5 point which will improve output. with either your stock 9.0 pistons. (or the 10.0 Motronic pistons if upgrading)

I have here 111.5mm as the minimum height after refacing.
