Out of curiosity, which version did you have as the rear muffler? Same twin pipe tipped as on the 91-93 164S, or that funny shaped tip version from the LS?

My car had a magnaflow muffler with an aftermarket tip but the Qs came standard with the same twin tip setup as the S cars did. The oblong, almost rectangular tip of the LS was unique to that trim.

Ah, thanks. That's what I thought. Was looking for a good but used S rear muffler to use as a spare.

Did the 24v Q engine get munched in the accident? I'm up in Vermont and will be considering finding a 24v 3.0 164 LS or Q engine for my GTV6 conversion project. Ideally, in running condition. I purchased one a while back in 'kit form'. It had been torn down to rebuild and exists as many boxes of parts. It might make more sense to find one complete vs having mine reassembled.
