I picked this '94 164LS up about 2 months ago and have now decided it needs too much for me to bother with fixing. I'm sticking with old school Audis.

The good-
Its a 24v car! It runs and drives well. Motor is smooth, auto trans is too. Leather interior isn't in terrible shape. Has fairly new tires.

The bad-
Pretty much everything else. 158k miles.
Wheels have been painted over. Air bag light flashes. Stepper motors don't work, so no air. HVAC LCD's are inop. Pass front window is inop. Radio/cd changer are inop. Both front fenders are dented (the right side fender is the worst, def needs a new one if you can find one ha). No passenger side mirror. Has a slight brake noise on the LF but brakes work okay. Who knows when the timing belt was done last.
Honestly the pictures make it look LOTS better than it really is.

Bottom line- this one needs a LOT of loving. But will run and drive and would make a good beater or still can be fixed up again.

I'm just trying to break even....which puts the price at $1500.
Located near Athens, GA.

I went to go see this car last weekend and Casey is an honest guy. He doesn't try to make this car out to be something it isn't. The car is definitely a fixer upper but runs and drives so I feel like it is worth what he is asking even if you are just considering the engine and tranny, but was just more than I wanted to take on right now as a project in and of itself. It would make an excellent second '94-'95 model car for someone to use as parts or for fixing up over time. It just doesn't share enough parts with my '91 for it to serve that function for me. He is a pleasant fellow like I said and easy to deal with. It sounds to me like the blower motor needs replaced which is very common but the climate control console doesn't show any signs of life in terms of dead LEDs. I don't know if the steppers are bad or not, since the console was "dead". Seemed to be a rust free car that spent it's whole life in the South but has other body damage on both front fenders but no major damage that couldn't be fixed with a new set of fenders. Didn't seem to be leaking any fluids besides the usual amount for an Alfa. ;) Heater core has been bypassed, but it may still be good. It would have to be inspected while doing the blower motor. I think someone could bring this one back to life and it could be a nice car again. ;) A '94 LS that runs and drives for $1500, it would be a good project for the right person. It just suffers from "general abuse by a PO" (not by Casey, who I can tell loves cars ;)).

The High Points:
• The engine compartment :)
• The seats are nice for a car with this mileage!

Anyone??? C'mon people, the engine trans and windshield alone are worth my asking price!

I'm starting college this week and could really use the money. Make me an offer on it, I need it out of here NOW!

Paint isn't bad on most of the car. Clearcoat has peeled somewhat on the edge of the hood and has lots of tiny rock chips on the hood/bumper. The rest of the paint is ok. Doesn't look great but isn't faded, etc. The lower plastic side panels have been repainted. To make it nice on the outside again I'd suggest having it repainted somewhere down the line.

I'm at the office right now, I'll get you the VIN when I get home later this evening.

How far are you from Atlanta? I have a friend there that might store the car until I could come get it out here to CA.
