Oh my, this car is much cooler than a 916.
LOL.
Agreed the 87 is cooler, but the 916 certainly has its points that are superior- all perspective. Indeed my wife is not so hip on the 87 leaving us for we have had a blast zipping around on fair weather days/date nights...
Have wanted a 916 for nearly 20 years now so I jumped on chance when found one legally imported.

The 87 spider as of yesterday is being help by a nice gentleman up north with a deposit until we iron out particulars with delivery.
Will mark sold when it is officially delivered.

How about posting some interior photos and an engine bay photo? How many miles?
sorry craigslist ad dropped off w more detail!
about 130k miles.
strong motor/no smoke
car shifts nicely up and down with rev matching downshifts and 1-2 count to 2nd gear- gearbox rebuild not needed imho any time soon.

thanks!

haha!!
will have to hold head sideways on these vids!
Here is another showing shifting- the car really shifts pretty respectably for age/mileage. I could likely shift faster but from experience I have trained myself to shift any vintage alfa more deliberate.
Hope this helps!

Nice car. Thanks for the response. I think the mileage kills it for me. Great color combo.
I hear you.
Interesting how many low mile spiders that just sit/never driven fall apart and need to be rebuilt prematurely.
this engine starts right up, leaks very little, pulls strong and no smoke.
These engines have proven themselves capable of reliable high mileage if driven consistently and maintained properly.

Suggestion: post detailed interior photos, get a compression test done (130k is really not a lot of miles for any engine).
Consider posting it on eBay, the market there seems pretty strong.
agreed danix- thank you.
video shows interior and engine pretty nicely.
Indeed the next step is ebay or bat. Was really just hoping to go the craigslist/alfabb route first having good luck in past...

For $3000 maybe, but $6500 I have to pass
LOL.
nice of you to say.
I can link you to plenty of crusty faded half broken $3k spiders if you want one.
