If it truly is a platinum and not a silver, then the transmission is worth $400 as a core. I hope your intent is to get it running and use it, but I always consider the risk minimal if I can part it out and recover the purchase price.

This assumes you have the space and ability to repair or part it out. If you are paying someone to repair it, you will end up upside down. Even at free.

Great price! Several have been listed lately for $4500, 1 or 2 much higher.
I managed to get a link to the manuals for the 75, I tried the links to a member named Craigs site,, but none of the links worked and it hadn't been updated..

not sure if we can post links to other sites, so I will upload them later and post locally on this site, if anyone needs the URL PM me , and I will give.

PS.

CAR is in driveway,, it is way cleaner then I originally thought, this car has all the options,,
Excellent!

The Car Disc CDs contain all the service manuals and bulletins - excellent resource.

Timing belt is a critical item on these cars and should be changed if history is unknown (or older than about 5 years or 30K miles). Otherwise, hoses, belts, brakes, fuel and battery to get it running - like any other car.

If you have a chance to post pictures - we always like those!
Platinums have ABS, so check that too! Sounds like a great price if the engine and tranny are good. If it's been sitting, then xpect maybe drive shaft donuts, suspension bushings, front end bushings, tie rod ends, maybe wheel bearing, check fuel lines, brake lines, check for mouse nests as well... They can wreack havoc on electrical connections. All possibilities in addition to the other stuff mentioned previously.
Your likely to have one or more stuck brake calipers too...
Yeah, one more thing, check the water drainage tubes to make certain their not clogged.. Any dampness inside the car?
All Milanos have a clover on the rear. Silvers are silver, golds are gold, platinums are silver (you can see the confusion) and Verdes are green.

If it has ABS, make sure that you hear the pressure pump run and then stop before you drive it. Otherwise you will have rock hard pedal but (almost) no brakes. The pressure pump should be mounted on the front LH fender right behind the battery. Has a 4" diameter sphere on top of it.

If it has conventional brakes, then normal master cylinder and caliper issues apply.
It definitely has the round sphere,, so its ABS,

since it hasn't been started in a few years is there anyway to pressurize system or will it do that once I start car and get it running,, the brakes right now hit the floor,, no resistance even trying to pump them ,, they stay soft. I have checked and I see no leakage at any of the calipers

It'll pressurize when you start the car...

Although you should feel resistance now...

Shouldn't go to the floor... Check brake lines, and verify if calipers are working...

Is there fluid in the system?

Is the anti-lock light illuminated on the arc warning panel?
