We´re in the early stages with an original 75 Turbo. Car has been laid up for a while, but has good low owner/miles/use provenance and condition to re-commission.

We don´t think that the 75 Turbo was ever sold in the USA, can anyone comment?

No it was not. We only had the 2.5 and 3.0 V 6.

Thanks for that Ron.

Performance of these is very similar to 2.5 V6, a bit quicker and more sporting (engine weighs less). We are not sure how many were made, thinking fewer than 5000 (?. If anyone knows exactly, please shout out), The turbo was not sold in all markets and LHD only. Being less than 2 litres it was cheaper to tax in Italy than the V6, so Italy was the biggest market by some way.

If anyone is interested in the car (US or EU), it will be ready in about 3 months, but happy to discuss in the meantime.

In Paul Koebrugge’s book “Alfa 75 & Milano: driven to be different” the author lists production figures for the series 1 (1985-88)
1.8/1.8 Turbo/1.8 Turbo Evo as 56,932. For the series 2 (1988-92) the production numbers are 45,610. The problem with these production numbers is that the 1.8 carbureted cars are included in the total.

The author also lists four models of the Turbo: the standard Turbo, Turbo America, Turbo Evoluzione, and Turbo QV.

Please post from time to time on your progress with your project. It’s always good to bring an Alfa back on the road, where it belongs.
