Somtimes the numbers don't tell the whole story...

The Dino is one of the sexiest cars ever produced. For a car of that era, it is incredibly tight, balanced, and responsive. I think it'd eat the Fiero for lunch.

Come on

I can't believe a Fiero nut is actually comparing his GM piece-O-crap to a Dino! The only thing the Fiero had going for it was mediocre handling capabilities. Then they stuffed a heavy V6 in it and the handling worsened. I know a masochistic Fiero owner. She has thrown so much money into that bottomless pit. And she's happy doing it.

I remember a few years back european car compaered a 73 Dino to a 73 carrera. Now that was a good and operate compaersion. I always thought it would be intresting to see how a datsun 240z would stack up with these big boys. All three cars were made during the same time. All three have 2.4 liter, six cylinder engines. One car rear engine, one car mid and one front. Germany, Italy, and Japan are each great auto manufactuers. So does anyone know the 240z stats? Is it a you get what you pay for and the datsun is way out of its league? Or is the Zcar like the 510 and able to give the best of Italy and Germany a run for the money? I am of course compaering the 510 to the alfa gtv and the bmw 2002 during the trans am days. Let me know what you think?

Ok Ok Take it easy on this guy. If you look at the site its interesting evry close#s
I have to say that those Gen. Motors days were VERY BAD. I worked for Pont. then . 1st let me say that the 6 cyl. was a real car it handled better and was bulit better than the 4 cyl, Iron duke it was called. I drove the 1st one off the truck in calif. and had to go around the block of the dealer ship to get it to the service dept. Thay had NO power and went flat at 4200rpms. JUNK and eat head gaskets like no Alfa ever could.
Now the last year 6cyls were still GM crap but thay had a nice sound and nice power and If one wanted one of those it was a real car the 4 cyl was not it was just JUNK. the 6s were nice for what thay are. and the important part is that thay did not fuel starve on the turns Like the wounderful Dinos do at the track.
I love the 206/246s I used to go to Grizwolds and lust after them when thay were new and I still remeber that the sticker was $14,000 new same as the CitroenSM. Any way do not be to hard on the guy, Dinos rule , but the 6 cyl fiero will nuetral throttle through a corner better than the Dino even if you if you close up the air jets.
you Have to admit it was shocking to see that post.

A Fiero is a car by Pontiac that was made from 1984-1989, it' a small 2 door car that features a mid engine 6 cyclinder. With this car many people are adding fake Ferrari body conversions that try to fool people.

Thanks for the note.

I thought it was just a bunch of second hand steel pilled up on top of four wheels and a round thing to move it.

Why would GM spend (dump) their money on that.......whatever.....
