Wow - 190,000 miles? Looks pretty good. Gotta love a high-mileage, original owner (i.e. well cared for) car!

How many of those miles did you actually drive with the TRX metric-sized wheels/tire combo? Those are awfully expensive to replace.

p.s. welcome to the BB

It sounds like you're getting your terms mixed up.

Offset has nothing to do with the lug pattern/circle - all of the transaxle V6 cars were 5x98 bolt circle.

Offset - or the relationship between the center of the wheel and the hub - varied slightly.

The only issue between the TRX rims and all other of the V6 wheels is that the actual diameter is different, requiring a special, metric tire. This has been discussed in other threads. FYI.

Good reference for learning the terms: Wheel sizing - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Perhaps a couple of people can weigh-in, but I was always told that the biggest problem with the TRX rims was that the SPACING/OFFSET of the lugs was not the same as the standard, and that to do a proper switch you either had to make custom rims, or have a mod done to the hubs/lugs.

Anyone care to comment?
