Hi there,

We have far too many projects. I would like to sell our 1984 GTV-6 for cheap, and quickly too.

We bought the car about a year ago in a non-running condition, with a bad center support, leaking heater core, broken reverse gear (it popped out every time), and various other issues.

All of those have been fixed by my father and I or by Continental Motors. (The heater core was just bypassed though)

The car has my Verde wheels but would be coming with the stock Campagnolo wheels (the aluminum ones, not the real mags) that need tires.

The car still needs work but is very fun and sounds awesome. A great car to commute in as it even gets remakably good gas mileage as well when compared to my Verde or my ex-Milano Gold.

Car has new brake pads and stops fantastically. It needs a catalytic converter as it did not pass smog.

I almost forgot, has a new timing belt and new water pump about 2,000 miles ago!
Also has a new front guibo (last one blew up on me), new center support bearing and center support, and a nearly new rear guibo.

Please come and take it off our hands!

Thanks,
Grant

There are too many cars at our house?

That's a pretty decent looking GTV6. Do you have the front bumper?
I wish you were closer to me, ****!!!

Front bumper comes with it.

Lenard, the Verde is doing well. I'm trying to increase the spring rates again, still too soft!

No, the Verde has been running flawlessly. Potenziato would also tell you that it drives a lot better than it looks!

Thanks again for the help by the way! I won't forget man.

Grant, nice to see almost the full collection in one photo. Just the Biturbos being bashful!

Hey, it drives 100 times better than it looks!

And my dad's Ford Ranger he was driving, but yes, good recollection! There is also an ae86 tucked between the boxster and the verde.

Someone should take this car, install a new cat. to pass the CA smog and to enjoy her.
Grant,
Can you post some pictures of the engine bay? Can you give us an estimate of the new cat? Thanks.
Happy motoring!

Sure, let me get some more pics up.

I can get a new cat welded in from a shop for around $200. It is just a generic cat, but it worked wonders on my Verde.

I would take this car in a New York heartbeat if I didn't already have two '84's. The interior looks good, is it original or redone? Did the Verde wheels bolt right on or did you have to machine the centers out?

Interior is a little rough actually. Milano wheels all bolt right up. You only have trouble in the US if you go from FWD to RWD. Hub ceter is a little off.

Thanks though!

OK, so I totally forgot. But the heater core was not bypassed. It was the common cracked heater valve symptom. My father and I were able to do a pretty rugged repair on it and I don't think it will be giving any more trouble for a long time.

So yeah, the heater works just fine.

Can I drive it home?
I ain't skeered, it'd be my fourth time across America in a GTV6! {Tool bag contains; leatherman, vise grips, cheap socket set, assorted screwdrivers, DUCK TAPE, BALEING WIRE, elec wire, clamps, fuses, 1157 and 1158 bulbs!!,,,}

Sale pending folks. I'll let the BB'ers know if it falls through. A nice guy from Arizona will be flying in and driving home if everything follows through.

O yes, that is a Medallion. We were trying to sell the first one we had for $900. My dad ended up selling it for $200 to some kid.

Poor kid =)

But really, the car wasn't THAT bad.

Anyhow, HeavyMetal, you're crazy!! This isn't a California car either. You could probably just pick one up just like this one in Chicago!

Thanks for the interest and for all of your inquiries folks!
