For sale is my Alfa Romeo Spider my son and I bought for him to drive while at college. We planned on restoring it together and keeping it, but he needs to sell it to pay tuition. We both will be saddened to see this one leave as this car is a beauty.

This car runs really well, and is a blast to drive. People comment about it daily, noting its Aqua Blue Metallic color and matching Royal Blue interior. It's an excellent pick-up machine!

The Alfa Romeo Spider was a revolutionary car when first released, with great style and performance. This car is a 1982 Spider which is a uniquely desirable year over the Spider's 30 year run. The 1982 has the greatly improved Bosch L-jet fuel injection and electronics that replaced the Spica mechanical FI and Italian electrics, yet retains the early body style. As a result it drives much better and has the classic look, the only year with this combination of engine electrical systems and bodywork.

Here's some of the work done to it:
New clutch, master cylinder, slave cylinder, hydraulic hose and fluid
Transmission disassembled, inspected, and second gear synchro repaired
New transmission seals
New transmission mount
New engine mounts
New drive shaft center support and flex joint (donut)
Tired balanced
New disc pads
New spark plugs
New valve cover gasket
New air filter
New oil filter and oil
New oil filler cap seal
New differential fluid, Shell Spirax 80W/90
New seat upholstery
New floor mats
Refurbished rear deck and curtain
Refurbished convertible top boot with new clips
Refurbished wood steering and polished spokes
Refurbished front and rear bumpers
Remounted fuel filter and pump
New silicone plenum hoses
New lower radiator support rubber
New radiator fluid
New heater hose
New radiator shroud
New Bosch FI relay
New fuel lines throughout
Many new fasteners throughout
New emblem on front bumper
Replaced "f" badge with good used part
Replaced lost door keys
New leather shift boot
New handbrake leather boot
New trunk release surround
Replaced missing air vent eyeball
New brake pedal and clutch pedal pads
Replaced padded dashboard (crack-free)
Cleaned car extensively
New door lugs (alignment guides)
New cigarette lighter (not wired)
New bulbs in turn signals, brake lights, side markers
Replaced convertible top with good used part
Much of the work was done by a skilled Alfa Romeo professional mechanic
Some of the work was pleasant time spent by my son and I
The remaining work was done by local mechanics or upholsterers

Prior owner installed:
New battery
New fuel filter
New clutch fluid bowl
Koni shock absorbers

Work left to the next owner's preference:
Radio works poorly but need to be replaced
Shift knob is well used
Cigarette lighter wired in

The ugly:
Two tiny rust holes found, one in spare tire well, one in lower front valence. Neither are noticeable, and rust converter applied.
Many, many leaks repaired, but more are sure to come. After all, its an Alfa!
Windshield has a scratch from the wiper that might be able to be polished out.

This car is being sold As Is, without any warranty. It's posted on eBay, auction number 271641507221, first bid starting at $10,000.
