I was driving and I found that the bumps in the road caused my horn to sound and it didn’t stop. If I tapped the steering wheel it would stop but start honking again. I imagine there is a loose wire in the steering wheel but I have no idea how to get to it. As a non mechanic I could use any advice. Has anyone he experience repairing the horn assembly in an 82 alfa?

The wire comes up through the steering box, up the steering column, to a connector, then to the steering wheel itself. Contact is made when you push on the horn tangs, completing the circuit. Any number of things could be screwy. Pop the plastic cover off the steering wheel hub, see if you can see a bare wire?
