I got a call from a nice lady recently who had done a bad, bad thing... when her beloved 1978 Spider needed head gasket work over a decade ago, she parked it and never got around to doing the work. The years have taken their toll on what was once a nice 95,000 mile car. The body has rust, the interior is shot, and the engine and mechanicals have sat a long time. At this point I see this as more a parts car than a restoration project, but if someone really enjoys a challenge, it certainly could be brought back to life. Some parts are worth good money if you are up for parting it.

When she first contacted me Diane was hoping to get $1,500 for the car. As of now she will take $1,000 OBO because she needs to have it picked up by August 23.

The wheels, window glass, lights, engine and gauges have to be worth a grand, no?

Anyway if you are interested in this car, which is in Alexandria, VA, near Washington, DC, please contact Diane directly: 571 245-5081-cell, or e-mail [email protected]. Please only contact her if you are sincerely interested. I'm glad to share thoughts but I don't know the car that well.

Thanks,
Brewster

I am having trouble uploading photos of the car but you can see them here:
