no longer for sale

Selling my ‘77 Spider.
49k mile
Tires, trans, motor, exhaust, brakes, clutch, and general mechanicals are all good. Some things are recent like brakes, clutch, tires, tune up.
Runs and drives excellent.
The interior needs a good detail but is in very good shape in general. The only real problem inside is rip in the drivers bolster.
Needs a top. It is garaged so its not wet inside.
Needs outer rockers. The rest of the car, besides a few small spots in the spare tire well, is solid.

The paint looks great besides the rockers. A good painter could blend the rockers or just respray the whole car.

I’m located in Montgomery County Md.

$3000

Thank you garwood1 (sounds like a Star Wars rebel fleet fighter pilot name). I appreciate the input.

If this were on my coast I'd consider. Body issues are what they are, one could fix but me, I'd just drive and enjoy.
I think price is reasonable. A brown 81 with single-throat Spica just sold on BaT for $8100 with utterly faded and cracked paint. I don't think it needed body work but it was not a beauty. This is less than half the $ of that one and has better injection. And a better color.
For you folks still running leaded gas, 77 was non-catalyst, for that reason. Gas up!

Thank you for the input Andrew. If I keep it it may end up on the west coast either in Fallbrook or La Jolla. Probably Fallbrook so I can keep my garage door open without a fine.

Fallbrook has a long and glorious Alfa heritage. Pat Garrett lived there; his wife Glenna was AROC secretary for decades. She's still there.

$3500 or whatever is fair 😎

I bought my 77 out of Oklahoma about two years ago. Non operational for 10+ years, but no rust and pretty good cosmetics. I paid $3k, plus transport to get it here. Another 6k in tires, brakes, top, minor interior work, Konis, Eibachs, retro bumpers, Euro exhaust manifold and pipes, and Bluetooth amp, and it’s my warm weather DD. Found a very good condition factory hardtop, but I know better than take a 105/115 onto snow.

Point being? Your price is entirely digestible. If you put it on BaT, you’d probably get more because it is running and recently maintenanced.

Thank you for all the input everyone. I am leaning towards just keeping and stashing it away for another time.
Mark, I’m just seeing your posts. I will call you in a bit. Thx
