I have a 1974 spider for sale. It is a project car that needs new paint (lacquer paint has cracked but still intact) . I drove it into the garage with the intention to restore it and have not been able to get to it. The only visible rust is in the spare tire wheel well. I need the room and need it to go fast. Clean title, located in College station, Texas.

Best offer gets it!!!!

Can you provide more information.

1. Does it run? If not, when was the last time it did?
2. Transmission good. 2nd gear synchro issues?
3. Miles? True miles?
4. What does it need? Interior, exterior, mechanically?
5. You call it a project car. What would it take to get it up to a nice driver level?
6. Price?

I am interested and I believe others are also.

Thank you.

Sorry for the late response.

8 years ago I drove it into the garage.
It has weber side draft carbs that need to be be rebuilt.
The trans was in good condition with no issues shifting through the gears.
It has 74k miles that I believe are original miles, but I can not verify.
Interior: the side panels to the center console need replacing the dash is good, the seats are in good shape too. The door panels need replacing as well.
The top is new and has only seen the sun a few times.

To get it to a good driver it would need new wiring, rebuild carb, breaks. The old lacquer paint job has cracked and I have attach a photo of it. From a distance it still looks like a good paint job.

Any other questions please let me know.

It's been a couple of months, did you sell or still have for sale?
Has there been any offers? Do you have a starting point on offers? This might be a good project for the right person.
