Upcoming retirement has me selling my 1974 GTV. I'm an Alfa guy, this being my seventh and probably last. I bought this from a gentleman in Calgary Alberta in February of 1998 and it has been garage kept in Denver ever since. It had Webers when I bought it, it has since been converted to SPICA. It had low oil pressure when I bought it, I pulled the engine and fought badly worn main bearings which I replaced. Oil pressure is good ever since. The gentleman I bought it from said he bought it from someone that put a new rear clip on it after it was rear ended.
It still has the tires I put on it when I bought it - I imagine I haven't put more than 10,000 miles on it in 17 years. Always a weekend/tour car for me, never tracked. About four years ago I decided to clean up the paint - I fixed some parking lot dents and checking and had it shot at Maaco. I'm no body man, so it is by no means show quality.
Car runs well after warm up - takes a little babying to get it warmed up. I imagine the SPICA could use adjustment.
Pictures show the crossmember is odd at both ends - it was like this when I bought it - don't know why. Maybe when the rear clip was done. But I have had no rust issues in the 17 years I have owned it. There is a little but of metal missing around the base of the windshield shown in photo. Windshield was replaced when I painted it.
I know Ive forgotten things, ask questions.
What I forgot - Wipers are flaky, e-brake doesn't work. In-dash cassette with 5 disk CD changer in trunk. Rear bumper is not correct for 74 - it has holes for license plate lights which I have put stainless plugs in.
