Fully restored in 2006, this is a solid driver. Not a 100 pt show car, but a good looking, dependable driver. Car is in northern VA, outside Washington, DC. Just put over 500 miles on it from NC to VA with no surprises.

Everything works, including cold AC. Engine, suspension, etc were all updated at restoration. Nothing major has been done to it while I have had it in past five years. Always garaged. No rust showing anywhere. No 2nd gear clunk.

Asking $19,500 or best offer. Call me anytime at 571 239 1453.

Nice looking car. Is that red interior original? Never seen on on a GTV2000.

Good luck with the sale.

r-mm: I was told when I bought the GTV that this was a factory color combo. Thanks for your comments.

I believe that it is factory. Just not available on new ones in the US.

More info...

Concerning the colors: a check of the VIN with Alfa indicates the car's original colors were metallic light grey with black interior. The red interior came from the restorer in 2006.

Also: A new complete set of wood trim for the dash goes with the car.

GG-your GTV is a beauty and I really like the color combo. For information purposes, 2000GTVs were sold in the USA with only 3 interior color choices; black, brown and "ivory".

Jim: thanks for your input; it confirms what I have heard from a couple of other sources in the past few days.

Sincerely appreciate your interest.

I saw your car at Jalopnik - Drive Free or Die yesterday. It looks good.

I still have the window sticker of my first new Alfa Romeo, a '73 2000 GTV, delivered 1/74 at Road & Track Imported Cars, Ltd in Inwood, NY It lists this information:

Serial Number: AR3022713
Engine Number AR01500.05853
Model: 115.01
Color: moss green/pigskin
MSRP: $5995.00
Suggested Handling and Preparation Charge: $100.00
Total: $6095

I hope this info is helpful. Good luck with the sale.

Jalopnik

Joel: thanks for drawing my attention to the Jalopnik post about my Alfa. The poll taken concerning the price was interesting, and it seems to indicate that we are in the right ballpark.

Thank you,
Larry

Car is still for sale. It has a fresh oil change and a new battery. I am very flexible on the price, so let's talk.

It's in northern VA, just outside Washington, DC. It is still available.

Thanks for asking.

I live in suburban Maryland. Just recently became interested in the Alfa GTV series.
What do have in the way of the car's history? Service records, ownership history, etc.

It was completely restored in 2006, when I bought it. I don't have any records on previous owners or service history. All I have needed to do since '06 is change the oil.

Please give me a call to discuss in more detail....571 239 1453
