This is he one that came from the SA guy Charli in TN, right? And you drove it home? What happened?
Yes, this was Charli's car and yes I bought it and drove it back from TN. I know it is hard to believe but that was over 2 years ago. Nothing has happened, I have lost garage space and it is time to move on.

Yes, the first bid was for $8k. No reserve after that.

Thanks.
Super

Actually this car drives extremely well! More power than I remember normal for a 1300 motor.
Strong engine, excellent transmission, no rear diff noise, solid suspension.

Josh had me do something minor with the car, but I can`t remember what.... It really is better than his description leaves you thinking.

Thanks for chiming in RJ.

Yes the car is in great running order.
New brake pads (car stops better than many modern cars)
New tires
All fluids replaced as needed
Car shifts great (grinds on aggressive down shifitng from 3rd to 2nd)

As a daily driver I wanted/need a reliable car and that is what this is a reliable runner.

Having said all that; the car has rust, and I don't know the difference between a MIG welder and a TIG welder.:wink2:

Thanks.

Quick Update.

I just did the Pensacola, FL to Atmore, AL Road Rally last weekend, 100 miles road trip. The car ran great. I ran it between 60-70 mph with no issues whatsoever. Obviously, I couldn't drive it fast enough to lose the rust. It is still there.

Car is still available.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Reviving this thread.

I have listed my Giulia on Bring a Trailer @ No Reserve

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-alfa-romeo-giulia-super-1300/

Let me know if you have any questions
No Reserve Auction Ends tomorrow, Tuesday December 5th, at 2:30 central on BAT.

Somebody is going to get a great deal.
The Giulia on ebay sold for $8K
This Giulia didn't sell, it was stolen! Well, at $2700 its basically a steal...or a gift, depending how you look at it. I have mixed emotions about this car - I wish it was closer to me as I would have bid on it and probably would have won it, but I am glad it wasn't in So. Cal because I would have bid on it and probably would have won it. Right now I need another car like a hemorrhoid, wife is sick and tired of my additions plus no space in the garage... BTW, it would have looked great with the a set of Melbers I have sitting on a shelf...
I was going to bid on it. The auction ended at 3:30pm. I was in the middle of work and did not notice the BAT text alert. I know for a fact the auction not ending in prime time hurt the final price.

I completely agree. I lost out on a '75 Vette on BaT a while back because the end of auction happened during a busy moment at work. The logic behind end time for the listing, if any at all, is that this is an East coast car and it ended at 6:30 their time. Even so, they could have ended it few hours later. Not sure where the Giulia ended up going. Nonetheless, this was probably the best listing i have seen in terms of full disclosure.
@tirefriar

I appreciate that. I tried to be as honest as possible.

The car is headed to San Antonio. Although funds as of today still haven't hit my account.

Of course, I feel like my Giulia was worth more but I rolled the dice.
