$7400 is the current bid. It is likely it was for sale before because the reserve wasn't met.

I've seen this car advertised in Montreal for $20K. That makes more sense for what seems to be a fairly nice Euro spec Berlina. The selling dealer does say it is to be picked up in Champlain, NY, which is just across the border.

It fared slightly better this auction @ $10k. Still a smoking deal if legit....

I have no idea, but am just speculating that there could have been a scammer involved in the first auction.
This happens a lot.
I sold a car for my brother on ebay and the minute the bidding ended, I got a call
from an unrecognized phone number, that was not visible to my phone, from a US based "buyer's helper".
I also got email from the buyer in Brazil who insisted on using paypal.
What happens with these scams is they want to make a payment, get the car and the title from you before you realize the paypal transaction is invalid.
Then you're left with nothing.
Fortunately, I was aware of their plot and insisted on a cashiers check and that the car stays put until the funds from that check cleared the bank.
"CLICK"

Or maybe the first buyer just didn't pay up.

Who knows!

I was watching the auction, lots of green overspray everywhere unfortunately. Definitely not a $20k car. $10k sounds fair.
