I am putting my 1967 red duetto convertible up for sale.
All the following was done in 2009 at about 84K miles
Has had new carpets put in that are not stock
Has had new canvas top put on
Has had new rebuilt engine by Alfa Specialists in Burbank CA
Has had seats recovered

Car in general
Not driven much over last 15 yrs.
The Wheels are original to the car as indicated on the bill of sale as a special order upgrade.
back then it cost $185 for them
Becker Mexico radio
Prior owner put new pans in
Has had a Bad Overspray for those who care
Is what I consider an original car mostly unrestored except for what is mentioned.
Not driven much over last 15 yrs
Some nicks and scratches and banged up valance due to parking curbs over decades of being driven.

I am not an expert just loved the body style and had the money to buy it in 2005 for approx $13K total.
Then paid over $10K for other work done in 2009.

thanks

Seems like a great price for that car! Can you tell me who did your engine work in LA and do you have ownership history? Pictures would be great!

Thanks. But you didn't provide the shop in LA where the service was provided OR confirmation on the ownership history. THX

Hi there. I also have a 1966 Sunbeam Tiger (TACed), and have just gotten bitten by the Alfa Romeo bug again. I've had many Spiders, but the one I really miss is the boat tail (Duetto). Mine was a 1969 Spider 1750. I've just begun to look for one to add to my Tiger and 1972 911. Is yours gone? Please let me know. Thanks.

Sale agreed

If I may... Sale agreed, after much debate in this thread I finally decided to pull the trigger, and jump head first into buying my first Duetto. The car may not be faultless, but the owner is very nice and helpful, and Daron & Co at Vintage Customs agreed to undertake a PPI of the car, so that's good for better visibility.

Just to clarify, the car has not been sold as of yet. I am in CA and need to get up to WA state where a well known and respected person in the Alfa world will perform a PPI. I think that is best as I am not an expert by any means and do want my car to be accurately portrayed. I agreed to sell it to this gentleman should we both be on the same page in every respect. Alot can happen between now and then as the buyer is expecting to ship the Alfa out of the United States. We (the USA) are going to lose another one of our little gems to our brothers across the pond.

I am taking down names and numbers for those interested should this buyer not follow through for any reason. I did not want to accept a deposit as I want this potential buyer, or any buyer, to be happy in every respect.

Bringing the Duetto home closer to its birthplace

I agreed to sell it to this gentleman
Yep, that's me :) All agreed, shipping's been arranged, so just waiting for Copescobra's return from sunny CA to be able to take the car to Daron for a check and a refresh. The Duetto will continue its life in a heated garage at my holiday home in the sunny Mediterranean, closer to its birthplace so to speak. Cheers!

Let me explain

It's easy... let me try to explain

What Does Sale Agreed Mean? | Ask Jeeves

"Sale agreed" means that the buyer and seller agreed on the main terms of the sale, and are currently working on settlement on a bilateral basis, in our case waiting for the car to be accessible for transport to PPI. It also means that the item is temporarily off the market to allow time for payment and settlement, but in case the sale falls through for any reason, the item may come back to the market at a later stage, thereby the waiting list. This window of intimacy allows time for the buyer and the seller to focus on closing the sale, without external harassment or disturbance. In contrast a "Sold" flag would mean that the sale process has been completed and ownership rights transferred. I would have thought that these are fairly universal terms for buying any valuable estate, but perhaps it's not used everywhere, so I hope this helps to clarify.

Newbie here!

Am I missing something? Or everything!?!??

I don't see any price given by the owner, let alone any mention of health issues.

So since no numbers given, what did the buyer buy?
