Not sure I'd call Colorado "dry." Worst downpour, and flooding, I was ever in was coming into Denver from the NE in an F12 Alfa van 10 years ago. Incredible rain, tornados, etc.

True, no salt, but Colorado uses Mag Chloride which is still a corrosive. CDOT recommends washing your car after every snowstorm that Mag Chloride was used or suffer the consequences.

LOL, I have no idea. Colorado started using Mag Chloride in the late 80's in the Denver metro area, but I do not know the history of the car or if it was ever exposed.

It's not a '60, rather a '58 titled as '60. Chassis 1493*07271, which technically means it's 29 cars before the split case transmission change from tunnel case... if the parts manual change point of 1493*07300 is 100% accurate. This is definitely still a tunnel case floor car though. It was originally Blu Tornado, arguably one of the most popular of their colours in period, sadly the pigments faded rapidly to a dull grey blue, but the original is a lively sea-green blue that carries well in modern twin pack paint which is free from fading.

1. The good - seats are there, door cars with their unique chrome trim, air filter can - which has been hacked a bit, bumpers, nose grilles etc
2. The bad - I don't see much of the unique door rubber stainless trim around the door apertures & this is not being repro'd as yet, also no original steering wheel. It's been comprehensively stripped, so yes stuff will be missing whatever the promises that are made - a car that is 99% complete & weighing 1 ton represents 20 lbs. or 10 kgs of missing bits.... that's a lot of trim & bits of minutiae right there, so prepare your$elf for ebay.it
3. The ugly - Looks like it was stored outside for a long time - there's rust in the usual spots & will be a few more as you dig into the shell, it'll need everything doing to it - Sprints are seriously complicated compared to Spiders & not much is being repro'd as yet, so you have to make things from scratch.

I'm hip-deep in our 11 Jan '60 right now lots of bodywork done & it was an excellent rust free & very straight shell to begin with, so I do have a grasp on these. That said, it's a nice straight shell with huge potential, if anyone buys it, I'm happy to help long distance.
