I thought I’d see it there is any reasonable interest in this project or if I have over committed to it.

It was built on October 31, 1957. Which I always liked. It’s number 2869. Normale 750d. Originally white with red interior.

The previous owner had owned it in the early sixties and chose to overhaul it in 1969. He took it completely apart and started to work on it. The project stalled and I acquired it. In around 2010 or so.
Fortunately he was a meticulous machinist any he boxed and labelled nearly all hardware etc.
I got the shell to an old world body man who replaced the nose and a rear quarter. And some floor metal. And I think he worked on the doors too around the hinges. He was a fantastic craftsman. When the rear quarter we bought was of poor quality he made one himself. I wanted the body to be perfect and original and we went to great lengths to recreate things like the production line cups and seem fold locations etc. He obviously did lots of hammer and dolly work to get things right and used lead for any filler that he needed. When I got it back from him it looked amazing.
After that I brought it to Coachwerks Body Shop in Victoria. They have to be one of the best shops in town. Especially with vintage cars. Their previous work is super impressive and the results in my Giulietta are the same. It’s incredible.
I did a colour change to the period correct Grigio Grafite.

The car is all complete to the best of my knowledge. Original engine , top bows, seat frames, wheels, bumpers etc.

The previous owner has rebuild many components. And he said to me “ if they have been painted then they are overhauled not just painted”.

I am about $70,000 Canadian into the car. And would like whatever the market can bear. I’m pretty sure the highest price paid for one of these is about $140k USD. And with the bodywork being so excellent and being complete by a highly regarded shop , this car has the potential to be one of the best out there.

I’d be happy to hear people’s input, unless you are rude. Then go yell at the radio.

Happy motoring!
