I have a 1956 sprint veloce that had a little oil leaking from the passenger side rear end seal. I have replaced the seals. Id like to drain and replace the oil in the rear end. Wanted to know whats the best I should try and get for it? Appears to not be a limited slip.

A multi-viscosity 90 wt diff oil is fine as far as I know ( limited slip?) .. Caution: it is easy to over fill the diff which can lead to leaky axle seals. Ask me how I know. Use only enough to fill per the spec 1.2 liter.

Well if filling it at that oil fill plug at the back of the rear end housing isn't the best place. Then where should I fill it?

My misunderstanding. I thought you were saying dont fill it at the fill hole. You were meaning not to the bottom of the fill hole correct? I plan on measuring the oil and putting in what the recommended amount is.

Here she is.
