When starting out in 1st gear and going up a grade the car starts jerking wildly until the clutch can be released at which point idle kicks back in.
The power failure only occurs while in 1st gear at 2k-3.5k RPM and never shows any type of power loss all the way through 5th gear. I did notice a split in the plenum hose at the afm. (i fully wrapped the plenum with duct tape until the new plenum shows up) That is the only known defect that might be a contributor that I know of. My power loss issue is strictly confined to 1st gear and lower speed.

If anyone has a handle on this problem please contact me.

Have you also check all the hoses the connect to the air box on the back of the engine by the fire wall? Idle actuator hoses, and all 3 hoses on the oil separator?

Have you checked not only corragations in big intake hose but at hose ends at big clamps?

Is your air cleaner box rubber mounts in good shape, too.
