164Q4 curiosity

If my math is right the 1995 164Q4 is eligible for import into these united states. I've always loved interesting sub models and high-tech-for-its-time AWD (see: current daily driver 964 C4). 24v Busso doesn't hurt the cause either. Curious to know what these change hands for and if any of the parts are wildly unobtainable or simply normal-rare. Anyone have one in the USA?

there are a few here. not many.
I have one that I purchased a few years ago and was scheduling import in March but was sidelined by covid. Parts are still available mostly in Italy. I'm waiting on a family member That lives where the car resides to restart the process again.

This is the ultimate 164. I supply parts to a few owners in the US, Canada and Mexico, SA too. Parts are not super difficult, some can be but overall not bad, yet. This is the car to have. I would love one.

I’m overloaded on cars
I may consider it ...
too soon to speculate
I have thought, and would like to import one here from Japan. Having owned a 164q 12V and a 24V super I always thought the 164Q4 would be a great alfa. Very interested in this thread.
I don't see a huge number for sale when I search my go-to: Autoscout24. Here's what's on offer. Curious if those with direct experience think these are fair/hi/low.

There was one in Seattle years ago. Don't know where it went to.

That is a more reasonable price and a nice looking car.
The seats are Hideous but if the Miles are real that car is a great deal!
These cars will sky rocket Sooner than later. The market on "youngTimer" generation cars are going through the roof and not coming down any time soon. Before 2023 a Q4 will be close to $40-$50k, if not More.

The front seats are aftermarket and the car has evidence of having some Paintwork done.
Would love one too. Though for the money these go for now you could buy a faster modern car - assuming we would want one...

Cool - look forward to that, post a link here when you do.

Can anyone share actual driving experience??
Driving experience... Very tight ride with exceptional grip! The 6 spd transmission is very smooth and You definitely feel the extra weight of the AWD system. based only on the very few test drives. Haven't had the Full driving experience just yet.
I suggest you look at this site http://www.alfaromeo164register.com/

There is quite a lot of info on the Q4. The extra weight is a penalty, but it is placed low and more to the rear, so weight distribution front/rear is better.

It is a close ratio Getrag gearbox, which is bullet proof. Electronics are the main thing to be able to look at, since these cars are now 25 years old.
I am also interested in possibly owning one of these in the future. I really like the idea of awd with the busso. Sign me up for a list of names to contact when and if anyone wants to sell.
Here’s your golden opportunity
Yes it’s a members car
