Hi people. I'm new to this forum. I own a 1991 Alfa Romeo 164L automatic. I'm the third owner and already have had done a lot of work on the car. Presently, about three weeks ago the car would bog and stutter at idle during a cold start. As it warmed up, it ran smoothly. Yesterday, however, I noticed a change in the sound of the engine. Where as it used to be smooth with a heathy exhaust tone, it now sounds raspy(best way to describe it).
My fuel line, fuel pump, fuel filter, and fuel tank have all been changed. My best guess(although I'm no mechanic) is spark plugs or maybe a gasket.
I'd appreciate any help from anyone. I truly love this car and drive it every day.

Hard one to comment on from your raspy note. Are you down on power? Is tranny shifting early lugging engine down at low speed?

Have you printed off our timing template and checked cam timing with crankshaft pulley at top dead center marks? If not look under my maintenance notes sticky for template pdf link.
