Update. Looked under the carpet and don't see a way to access underneath the broken seat mount (hidden below the black steel strap holding up the dropped part).

Any suggestions very welcome.

Two issues confusing me here! OK front seat retaining bolt retaining nut issue being shown in latest pix right? the threaded anchoring nut may have been what we called in aviation a rivnut See this one for M8 metric size as an example. It may take a special tool to install or just use a short M8x1.25 thread pitch bolt. https://www.accu.co.uk/en/knurled-flat-rivet-nuts/69620-HRKN-M8-16-A2

As for removing rear Series 2 EURO rear seat upper with movable head rests, I don't have a clue as to where hidden retainers are located.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for reply and the link - it isn't that type of nut. Will send clearer pic once have bonded it in place, before adding a plate over the top - which seems to be the only option now until can get my own welding gear.

Will look again for the headrest retainers - must be something simple, for production purposes if nothing else. Will post result when find it.

Cheers,

Richard
