I am new to the ABB. My "Q" is undergoing some routine maintenance at a new shop specializing in Alfas and Ferraris here in Denver. My mechanic indicates that my oil pump is within spec, but I am thinking it would be a good idea to replace the oil pump's spring. Does anyone know of a source for purchase of the spring alone. Thanks ahead of time.

If your oil pump is within specs why do you want to replace spring? What kind of routine maintenance checks an oil pump spring?

Steve, Good questions for sure. I guess the spring is to bypass high pressure and would have no influence on low oil pressure unless the cup the spring fits into is hung up in the bore. So yes I don't need the spring. What has been your experience with the ignition coils and their failure rate. I just ordered 6 new ones. I heat the main factor in their failure or is it mostly just age. Thanks for your iinput.
