The new issue of Hemmings Sport & Exotic Car magazine has an article about the 164 and the Saab 9000 sharing the same floor pan. The 164 featured is a 170,000 mile 93 S owned by Mike Mulvihill from Lynnwood, Wa. (on the BB?).
The drivers (actually the Saab owner's dad, as he had just gotten his driver's license) drove each other's car and my impression was they both liked the Alfa better. I thought Mike's comments about the Saab were....polite. Said the shifter reminded him of the 39 Plymouth he learned to drive on.
