Just wondering...

does anyone know of any radios/headunits that fit right in without any mods?

Ive heard that just about anything that fits a 90' crystler new yorker will fit perfect...is this true?

thank-you

I put a Pioneer unit in my 164S. It's the exact same color and size as the original unit. The metal rear bracket for the OEM radio doesn't fit the new unit, but I've never had any trouble with the unit staying in place.

I bought it from Crutchfield, who also supplied a simple wiring harness for the 164. Crutchfield doesn't list the unit for a 164. It shows up as fitting Chrysler and GM cars. Once you tell them it fits, they can help you out. The model I have is 5 years old, and no longer available. They currently list the Pioneer DEH-P47DH and DEH-P77DH units as well as the Jensen CM7015K. I'm sure Crutchfield isn't the only place to get them, but I liked getting a 164-specific wiring harness with the unit. :D
