Hi Guys

Im a new Alfa owner and I just seem to be running into problem after problem.

The car has sat for a few weeks, got it started and absolutely no pressure in the clutch at all. The car was running fine when it was last parked. Its a 75 or 76 1600 gt jnr with the pedals coming up from the floor.

Clutch reservoir is full, some leaks which appear to be oil not clutch fluid.

Could the clutch plate rust itself to the flywheel in a couple of weeks? I do live in a warm climate but it's winter.

You mean the clutch pushes to the floor without resistance?
Can you safely lift the car to get under it (Ramps or jack stands)?
Pull the rubber cover away from the clutch M/cyl - any evidence of leaking fluid?
What is actually happening when your assistant presses the pedal?
If a clutch plate rusts to the flywheel, you won’t be able to engage a gear even when pressing the clutch, and the car will want to move if you start it in gear with the clutch depressed (the same as if there was no fluid pressure), but the pedal should still be firm (ie clutch trying to work with lots of resistance).

Clutch pushes to the floor without resistance and doesnt want to come back ( though it does slowly).

I will be able to get under the car

I cant see any leaks and the reservoir is full. Car was working fine when last parked.

Doesn’t need much of a leak for there to be a problem.
After that, close observation is what will pay dividends. Hard to beat. It’s a simple system. Plus listening for squidgy sounds at the m/cyl.

Pull back the boot on both the master cylinder and the slave cylinder. Any fluid in there? If so you found that bad one, but pays to replace both, plus the hose, if not done recently.
