Had a fruitfull day today.
Istalled the polished windscreen, taped up the wiring harness and re-installed the dashboard.

Finally all parts modified and complete and started with the final assembly.

Does this newly purchased dipstick looks ok for the TS block with 105 oil pump and sump? (my engine block was incomplete without one fitted).
Seems you want to avoid running near min at all times.

Hi mate, it looks ok but I would lift it a little so as the oil pump p/u is still in oil, when it shows the low mark. Not much maybe 3 mill.
P.S. your car is looking fantastic.

The chrome edging on the dash is looking great! Did you manage to find a replacement part for it as i can only seem to find the classic one

No it is the original one, just polished up.

Found some pictures of when I removed the sump from my 1300 Nord.
Clearly see the min and max level on the dipstick to fall well into the gears.
This confirms more or less my suspicion that the gears should be (partly) submerged.
Min seems to be at the split on the pump.
Might be worth investigating further

I'd poor 10 litres* in to the engine and then alter the dipstick to suit. * I believe that is the correct full amount of oil, noting a small amount will be stored in the oil filter
