Just purchased 123 ignition/distributor for my 66 super to try to sort out some ongoing running issues.

Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on the advance curve settings. I have the unit with 15 pre-programmed settings. In the manual supplied with the unit it recommends curve 7 for Giulia Super 1300/1600 , curve 9 for Giulia Super. Howerver Classic Alfa who I purchased it off recommended either curve A or curve D for a tuned engine. Mine has a mild cam upgrade I understand. Appreciate any advice from someone who has installed on this model. Also any insights into the install that maybe of some assistance. I understand they can be quite hard to slot into place and you need to remove an o-ring or similar?

Thanks
