Chassis no. or VIN (Vehicle Identification number) is on the firewall of the car and (on US cars) on the windshield plate that is on the driver side of the car
This feels like a very noob question, but I was very confused and didn't know that VIN and chassis number are considered to be the same. THANK YOU.

I'll do a write up to tell you the story behind our Spider in the next week. Its a LHD, sure, but its not a USA import to the UK, its a Spider Junior, a sort of hybrid between a Duetto and a later Kamm tail built for the Europe mainland market, Italy in particular.

Alfa Spider.

Good morning,

I found the following number between the engine and transmission on my Alfa, it is not the original one to the car and I am trying to figure out what car this came from, can anyone help: AR01500 10680.

Joseph - this thread gets very little attention and so you probably won't get an answer here. I think you'll get a quick answer if you post in the Spider or GTV threads (you don't say which car you have). One thing I can tell you is that unlike American cars, Alfas do not have "matching engine and VIN numbers - it's only possible to say that an engine is or is not within the correct production range for that car.

Welcome aboard!

Alex,

Good luck on your restoration! I used to own a '71 Spider as well, here in the U.S.

Go to the following link and use the form at the bottom of the page to register your car.

Reply from Marco Fazio - he's moved on a bit... sounds like there might be a new way to research your Alfa Classic in the future - but right now the web site mentioned seems to be all Fiat.

Dear Bruce,

if you want to send us an inquiry, you will have to use our new website www.fcaheritage.com, but note the service is actually available just for Italy, France and UK.

We will extend to global availability as soon as possible but, in the meanwhile, you should follow the instructions below, if you don’t live in one of those countries.

Please fill the attached form (digital way: please don’t print the excel file), sign the legal information notice and send me all the files.

I will put your request on the way to archives and they will answer you about cost and availability.

Please update and notice me about any kind of problem.

Kindest regards.

Yours, Marco

Sad to announce that this one is off to the graveyard. I put it on Patrick's registry for archive purposes but only bits and pieces will survive,, in other cars.:crying2:

Register my S4 spider Hi, New to this BB. how does one register one's vehicle? Just took possession of a beautiful S4. Needs a few things (Prime of which would be the hard to find door trim at the top of the door. At least the left one but would get both if I ever found them)

Alfisti,

Just a reminder that our registry requires "self-registration" (in case you don't already know)...

Go to the Registry website (link below), and click on the 105/115 Spider/Duetto link; once you're there, scroll down to the bottom and fill out the form to register your car.
