My body guy needs a picture of this area to get the shape around and behind the door correct. Can anyone supply pictures of the fuel door area from a correct car?

Great shots 1750, just starting the strip down of my 73 GTV and that spring is one of the few pieces i don't have.

Davbert...thanks for the cross check...I don't see a difference yet..but I'll study the pics more today.

1750GT,

Was it difficult removing your rubber mats glued to the trunk sheet metal?...any hints on removing the mats intact?

RP, I guess you're referring to the rubber trunk mats? In my case, the rubber mats and the adhesive holding them in situ were totally fried to the point that they were as brittle as plastic. So I simply ripped the whole lot out in pieces....now after seeing the price that the new mat sets are going for (around $800!) I really wish that they had survived. So I'm afraid I don't have any hints for you other than whatever you do...do it slowly.
