Hi thanks for the link , I couldn't find the AR00112*13836 in the Fusi production no's they appear to stop earlier ???

I will use the valve and head waterpump sizes to check the head sizes which might help me identify them too..
Also some head parts , Head and Airbox are marked with a Z , is the for Zagato ??

Hi I am New to the site so please bear with me.

I have 2 Engines that I am trying to find out exactly what model and year they are from ..

AR 00530*18846* I believe is from a 1300 Junior 1968/69 ???
AR 00112*13836* I believe is from a 1600 Spider/Sprint/ Sprint Gt ???

can anyone help me to confirm the above details please.

regards
Tom
According to the serial number tables in Luigi Fusi's Alfa history, 00530 18846 is from a 1969 GT Junior or Spider Junior.

00112 would be from a 101 Spider or Sprint or early 4R Zagato but the last engine number quoted is 09106 for 1965 but 11188 for 1963. The book also states 7107 Sprints were made plus 9250 Spiders plus a handful of 4Rs; from the detailed production figures I deduct your engine is late 1963.

These tables are known to contain errors and omissions.

Here's another 1968 1750 GT Veloce :)
Sold to Belgium in 1968 and imported in The Netherlands in 1971 where she still is.
Still with the 1750 engine but the body colour has been changed in 1970 by the first owner to AR 013 Bianco Spino (white), currently with red leather interior.

Marco Fazio replied as follows;
"According to our documentation files, the chassis number AR 1357529 originally corresponds to an Alfa Romeo 1750 GT Veloce (105.44), manufactured on the 19th July 1968 and sold on the 23rd July 1968 to Alfa Romeo Belgium, Brussels.
The body colour is musk green, with wild boar leather skai interiors."

Kos

I have contacted Marco about my new Alfa junior but he replied they are now closed until the website opens

My question is to you all is there any other way of gaining original info?

All i know is GT Junior 1300 1972 105.30

Can anyone please help gain info?

Thanks a lot!

Where's my engine from?

Hi

I've got a 72 gtv VIN number matches Fusi scan for period - contacted Marco to get more info on the car but they seem to be closed for a few months. The engine number doesn't match those from the Fusi scan - I was told it wasn't the original when I purchased the car. My engine number is AR01629*900915*. Can anyone tell me what car that engine came from?

Thanks for any help

Orange GTV 1750 CKD

I've stumbled upon a South African built Serie 105.45 GTV 1750. Thus far the exact date of manufacture is still unknown (no records of car with Centro Docementazio Alfa Romeo: Possibly one of the South African built cars at Rosslyn Plant from 1970 onwards for which records have been lost).

Chassis number: AR*1455925*
Engine number: AR*10548*00049*
Colour: Lancia Arancio 558
Interior: Beige
Condition: Restoration project

35k miles by two owners. Stored in barn since 1976 after the head was removed and rebuilt by Bobcor. Rebuilt head was never installed. A newspaper dated 1976 was used to seal the space between the engine block and head and was found in this condition when mechanical work was begun. Currently undergoing a complete restoration.
