Just make sure if you decide to cut the head off that it's not a sodium-filled exhaust valve. From what I understand, that can be explosive!

Sodium can react violently with water. There is a class of nuclear reactors that use liquid sodium to transfer heat from the core in conjunction with sodium/water heat exchangers to generate steam for turbines and leaks in the heat exchanger tubes was a problem but they did not cause the plant to explode. If you are in Idaho and are sufficiently interested you can visit the pioneering reactor that used liquid sodium and generated electricity for the nearby town of Arco - Experimental Breeder Reactor-I (EBR-I) - INL
There must be many cases of heads falling off of sodium filled exhaust valves with resulting engine damage but I doubt that it was much worse than the head falling of stainless steel valve however it was more likely to happen.
