I have 1-2-3 ignition with Webers on my 6 cyl 2600, drove a few hundred miles and I find the spring loaded central terminal in the distributor cap is snapped off. It's a Beru cap and reading stuff on other forums it seems they are known to be short-lived.

Any one know where I can find out if there is a Bosch alternative to the Beru VK 102 EX cap? I prefer not to get another Beru component.

Thanks.

I understand they are all of standard design. I have a 4cyl 123 and when the cap cracked, Alfaholics sent me a standard Bosch one from a Bosch / Nord engine distributor. no doubt yours is a little more extotic but Im sure AH or one of the other usual suppliers will either sell you an inexpensive replacement, or just tell you what other cars its common to. Perhaps GTV6 etc?

I just changed the cap on my 4 cylinder 123 after 7 years and 30k miles. It did not fail but the center button was worn. The replacement is a Facet that looks inferior to the original.
