  1. Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
Speedometer stopped working the other day so starting diagnostics but have hit a wall. Fuse is good for power and I have tested the speedo sender with the attached pics showing the results. The three wire connector is two parallel terminals and one perpendicular. Testing impedance and using...
  2. Alfetta & GTV6 (1972-1986)
The speedometer of my Alfetta GTV6 (1984) does not work on the Milano gear box. I connected the converter between the sensor and speedometer. I dont know if the sensor and/or converter really work. How to test? I also don know if the speedometer works. How to test? The rev-counter works fine...
  3. GT (1963-1977)
My car is 74 GTV, the speedo reads 10-20 MPH high. About 10 Mph high at 30 and 20 MPH high at 60. When I purchased the car, 2019, seller indicated the speedo had been calibrated with the tach and it read correct for about a year. What are the probable issues? Appreciate your help.
  4. Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
Hey everyone, I've linked a youtube video to see if I can get some feedback on the noise that the speedometer on my S3 started doing after taking it out of storage recently. I am hoping if some of you more experience friends out there can help me identify if I just need to replace/lubricate the...
  5. Alfetta & GTV6 (1972-1986)
Hi All, I'm in the process of trying to resurrect a wonky Giulietta speedo. From my reading the electronic gauges in these and similar cars are quite fraught, with different models having different tech which appears to then change over the years. I'll try to document my progress in here for...

Hi there I am trying to figure out what the problem is with my tachometer and my speedometer. They do not work properly. I am a new spider owner and I have had my 86 2.0 Veloce for two months now. I have been combing through the car and dealing with issues one at a time. Please can someone...
  10. Alfa Romeo Montreal
All, I have found what appears to be a weeping leak at the sender for the speedo on the tranny. AR p/n It is not leaking at the mounting, it is on the end of it (circle end facing you in attached diagram from TAV 44). It looks like a PO tried to epoxy it and it did not work...

  12. Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
So, finally drove my new acquisition (1984 Spider Veloce) last Saturday and found out that neither the speedometer, nor the odometer are working. I've heard that the later S3 Spiders had electronic speedos, but as mine is the pre-facelift version, am I right in thinking it's mechanical? I'm...
  13. Milano/75 (1985-1993)
Anybody use a GPS sender in their OEM speedometer? Hi Is anybody using a GPS sender along with the OEM speedometer? The transaxle based sender in my Milano is failing. I'd like to replace it with a GPS based sender. For this to work, the GPS sender is going to have to send a signal to the OEM...

  15. GT (1963-1977)
The speedometer on my 69 GTV has started to act up. The needle fluctuates wildly at low speeds but then smooth's out at about 40 mph. It seems to be gradually getting worse. Is this likely the speedometer itself wearing, or could it be the speedo cable or even something in the transmission...

I am curious about what a late model speedo for a GTV6 goes for these days? I found out that I have what is probably the least desireable of the group, 85MPH old style. My Alfetta GT had a 150MPH speedo, what do the GTV6 speedos go up to? I have a Milano transaxle so I guess I need the "Jaeger"...
  18. Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
Hey y'all. So recently I've had some unprecedented electrical problems. I THINK it's a fuse but I'm not totally sure (since I don't have a multimeter). First off let me preface this by saying that my battery has been flopping around in the trunk. The piece that holds the thing down was...
  19. Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
My '89 Spider Quad speedometer does not read the proper speed. It goes as low as 10ish MPH (Even when stopped and Off) but when driving the speedometer reads out at ~10MPH under actual travel speed? Any suggestions on what/how to fix this? Could it be the relay that the speedometer cable...
  20. GT (1963-1977)
It looks like I've gone and worn out a second speedo on my GTV. My original lasted some 480,000 miles and the replacement (installed used without any service except for blowing out the dust) lasted about 1/10 that. It started making “skritching” noises accompanied by a slight needle jump. I...
