I am browsing the internet for a carburetor rebuild kit for my 84 EU Spider 2.0, equipped with Solex carbs. I found the text on the car Solex 40.ADDHE and a small aluminium label says "1154804 01100". In the webshops there are 2 different gasket kits offered, one for "Solex 40ADDHE 20/24/29"...

Not mine. Looks like the previous owner put Solex carbs and earlier cast iron headers on it. https://orlando.craigslist.org/cto/d/winter-garden-alfa-1986-romeo-spider/7504714709.html
  4. Carburetors, Fuel Injection & Air Intake
Hello, For the longest time I've been wanting to add some filtration and a way to get colder air to the carbs on my '81 Spider. The carbs are dual Solex C40s with some DIYed trumpets. A few days ago, I was looking through a parts bin and came across an old Spica airbox that I have (see pic...

  7. Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
I have a 1980 Spider with 2 Solex carburetors. After some major repairs, the car is now backfiring like crazy when I take my foot off the accelerator which it didn't do when I bought it at the end of last summer. I haven't had a chance to talk to the shop about this yet, and I will, but just...

  9. Giulietta & Giulia (1954-65)
My 62 Giulietta revs a bit too high, around 2000 when idling. I have the original 35 APAI G Solex carb in the car (see attached photo). I do not see an idle speed adjustment screw, only the idle mixture. Any idea how to bring the idle speed to around 1000? Thanks, Kamran

  12. Carburetors, Fuel Injection & Air Intake
Hi all, I have a 75 spider with Solex's was u.s spec but now has been rebuilt with slightly higher lift cams. It seems to be running quite rich from the sound and looking at the plugs. I have fitted a color tune and tried some leaner than spec idle jets. What I am finding is I can adjust a nice...

Hi all, I have a US spec 1975 Spider 2000 that the previous owner changed from fuel injected to twin Solex's. The car seems to be running very rich (cant get any kind of blue flame with color tune and the car "hunts") it also backfires out the exhaust on deaccaleration. I have fitted a slightly...

Hi there, First post here, wanted to test you guys straight away :D I have 1978 series 1 Alfetta GTV, 2 liter with (two double) Dell'Orto carburettors. Unfortunately the Dell'ortos are shot, but since my parts car has some two pretty good (double) Solex carburettors, I figured to use those...
