  1. Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
I recently failed smog and have been reading a bunch of old threads from other CA alfa owners. THREAD 93 Spider Failed California Smog HC this thread from 2009 talks about making sure your plugs, O2, and cat are good. I replaced the o2 and replaced the plugs in Feb ’20. @Andrew and...
  2. Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
My 1986 Spider just failed smog yesterday on Hydrocarbons and Carbon Monoxide. I have been reading a bunch of the threads on here and I think the O2 is the likely culprit. Is the best way to verify with a multi-meter? TEST RESULT LIMIT HC (PPM) - Hydrocarbons 207 141 CO % - Carbon...

Hoping to keep from joining the ranks of the California Spider Exporters Club! Help me keep a beautiful specimen rolling down California streets! I am in need of a complete smog set-up for a 1979 Spider. Need the pump, the rails, the whole shebang. If I don't find the parts, you'll see me...

Hi all, I recently purchased a 78 Spider that did not pass smog (California). It looks like the previous owner tried getting it tuned but it still failed. 5. Alfetta & GTV6 (1972-1986)
Does anybody have information on whether California GTV6's had different equipment for smog than cars sold in other states? I'm looking for a good GTV6 (and perhaps an older Alfa for my father who owned a Berlina for 19 years from new) and wondering if I can consider cars from out of state. I...
  6. Spider - 105 & 115 Series (1966-1994)
Hi folks I'm hoping to get some advice from the experts out here. My spider 1980 is in a high-CO situation that's resisting my best efforts so far... Three tests three fails. 1ST TEST: 15mph 1799 RPM 5.41% / 1.38% CO MEASURED / MAX 188ppm / 218ppm HC MEASURED / MAX 132ppm / 1379ppm NO...
  7. Alfa Romeo Topics Not Covered Elsewhere
I like this car, daily driver, owned four years, about 60,000 miles are mine. Passed CA smog today. The S-3 L-jet is a great system. The numbers show the cat maybe a little weak but have two years to worry about that. PS - added plug pix for reference

  11. Alfetta & GTV6 (1972-1986)
Hi, This is my first posting because I started looking for GT coupes or GTV6's and have found an Alfetta GT Coupe that I cannot stop thinking about. It is funny how these cars can do that, I owned a Lancia Beta Coupe Volumex in England which I absolutely loved, but it nearly put me in a mental...
