I just had a lovely package delivered from Classic Alfa (everybody knows the feeling you get...) including, as one of the smaller items, a new heater control knob. £3.50 plus VAT, can't go wrong...
However, it doesn't want to go on. It won't go down over that clip on the lever, and I'm...
Does anybody know the correct routing of the heater ducting from the heater itself to the underside of the dash top. I know there are 4 of these black corrugated 45mm pipes (2 each side) and I can work out the routing of 3 of them - but its the one that needs to get from one side of the...
recently i had my gt's radiator remanufactured. Otherwise, for now i don't understand why, but the radiator is taller than the previous radiator, so it isn't possible to install it. Somebody can give me the radiator dimension? I need to know the high of the radiator surface, beetween...
New to the group and need help with my 2005 1.9JTD Alfa GT if you could please.
Today as I started out driving I pressed the windscreen button on my heating / AC panel to clear the screen. The tempature was reading 15°c on the dash and the heating / AC was set to 19°c. After about 5...
My heater switch knob finally cracked on the inside, so need a replacement. Just the knob- not the whole switch assembly.
Also looking for a new black plastic plate that both heater/AC are attached to. Anyone figured out a good fix for these things? Mine always pops out of dash as the tabs are...
Turn indicator on my new '79 Spider stays on all the time, even with the key off.
I also notice that if I turn the wheel to the left the stalk moves down and turns on the left signal.
So I'm pretty sure the switch needs a bit of work.
Switch causing the lamp to stay on?
Need to know as it drains...
Lately I have been trying to reproduce a few parts for Bertones that are either excesively overpriced from most sources or in most cases simply not available.
What I can offer at that period are the following:
Rear Heated Window Button 4.0 GBP...
I am restoring a 1960 Sprint Veloce. Along the line it lost its heater and heater controls. I have sourced a heater but I am still missing the heater controls. If you have knobs, cable or mounting plate available, please let me know.
Hey everyone. I recently replaced my radiator because I needed a radiator shroud and the bolts had broken off the old one.
I did all that, but now my heater is no longer working, the blower works, just no hot air out of the vents. Is it possible that I messed something up? if so what could I...
It's a really small part and a super specific request, but I can't stand looking at my broken heater switch anymore... Or what's left of it, that is!
If anyone has one, or could point me in the direction of where I could buy one, I'd appreciate it a lot!
Got evaporator loose, false firewall out and wiper motor arms/motor out too but having trouble getting the blower motor section to come away from the heater matrix/core section.
Have seen there are two lower clips, one either side of heater section but is there anything else...
am in the process of replacing the starter on my 24v 164 and as have the plenum chamber and false firewall off seems a good time to change the overdue heater matrix (misting up inside screen issues).
From the look of it will probably need to disconnect the aircon circuit and loose all the...
Among other things, the heater fan is the Spider's Achilles' heel. As most of us know. And as the rest of us will one day find out... :) Some BBers have already posted helpful hints on the subject: see Eric's article about S3 repair here.
However, I found nothing about repairing or even opening...
I pulled back the console of my Milano to get to the ducting and heater motor to remove the leaves from the air intake. Yes, there was lots of dried leaves and a fire hazard waiting to happen. (note - I am constructing a screen as suggested in one of the posts re:heater fire hazard).
Here are a few nice items, make an offer:
> a steering column cover with no cracks -
> entire steering assembly
> lights/signal stalk
> heater blower unit & switch
> heater tubes
> floor ventilation covers
As the proud new owner of a thoroughly used '73 Spider, I've taken it upon myself to make a few 'updates'. I've had the car for a few months now, and love the thing.
Among other things, I've replaced the shifter boot, which was torn to pieces, and ordered the metal heat/defrost lever cover to...
